Editing for Marketing
In marketing, my role as a copy editor is multifaceted, focusing on refining and perfecting content for diverse agencies and clients. I meticulously scrutinise materials for grammatical accuracy and spelling errors while maintaining a consistent tone across all platforms and brands—a process that is a constant collaboration.
Collaboration with fellow writers and the director is integral as we work together to enhance messaging, details, and overall clarity. Furthermore, brand integrity is a top priority during the editing process, and I diligently verify factual accuracy, legal and regulatory standards, and ensure briefs are followed closely while meeting deadlines.
Additionally, I contribute to optimising content for various channels, ensuring brand messaging, SEO meta information, and tone align with target audiences. As an editor, adaptability and a keen eye is essential in navigating the dynamic landscape of marketing campaigns, while always upholding standards of quality, efficacy, and professionalism.

Editing for V.I.
One of the briefs I was handed while at V.I. was to proofread and sub-edit the new Pexa website in development at the time. This required reading hundreds of pages, including legal material—checking for typos, unwanted gaps, capitalisation, tone, brand consistency and style, and spelling. It was an enormous project on a tight timeline and I was proud to be given such a responsibility.
